XGames athlete Mike Shultz is a highly decorated athlete.
On December 8, 2008 Mike got into a serious accident during The Winter XGames.
While going of a jump Shultz lost his grip due to a loose bolt in the bar.
As He was later examined at the hospital he was put to sleep When he a woke he was shocked that he has had his leg amputated A couple of months after he was playing aroud with an idea He wanted to make a prosthetic leg with shock springs like a moutain bike. After a year of inventing he had made his image. This isnt a product that any amputee can get However, it is being made for troops with injuries. Due to the shock springs allowing Mike to do jumps and tricks He is now back for his third X Gmaes and has earned three gold medals
