12/13 Tech Post

Users are in a debate google because of the privacy that u may not have. Just recently reported that the NSA put live agents in video games such as, World Of Warcraft and certain Xbox multiplayer servers. The point behind this was to find terrorists possibly making plots. So if they will do it to you in a game what stops them from tapping into your glasses. Or even hackers seeing personal things, your home, or even you. So most people are steering away from these as the interest rate has dropped 8%. Privacy is becoming more and more important, but when you know big brother is watching you it becomes a little harder to keep using your devices Anti-Google Glass icons from StopTheCyborgs.org, a group raising awareness about Google Glass privacy concerns.

Tech Post 12/6

Amazon is now testing drones for delivery. This will now make shipping a lot faster... maybe? However people see lots of problems. Such as, hitting people in the streets hitting cars breaking windows. Also, getting the wrong package. However, others see this being great, not having to wait for the mail to come in a quick and easy drone to bring me my package. I personally believe this will be like any other new product. It will have its bugs at first but will be great when all those are fixed. This will be the new way of delivery

12/3 Twitter as education tool

I think twitter and instagram can be used as an education tool. Instagram can have 15 second videos which can be used for projects. Twitter can be used to write short summaries. However in my use of these in school projects the one problem that does occur is students using them for personal use not educational purposes. Which the teacher can only monitor so much. To conclude, I believe it can be helpful though making kids more interested in learning

Philippines Post 10/11

When I heard what happened in the Philippines I felt sorry. A country that constantly is hit with storms and always is rebuilding. Then to be hit with this it is just horrifying t hear. Over 10,000 people dead then  a storm three days after the typhoon hit it was just so sad to hear. As a school we can help raise money to send to the Red Cross for aid. Or do a fundraising dinner.

If I was Invisible 10/28

If I was invisible i would help out kids that are being bullied. Watching over everyone without someone seeing you could make a difference. I would also like to help people who are in the wrong place at the wrong time. For example, people who accidentally walk on to the street and get hit by a car. I can pull the person away so they wouldn't get hurt.

I would also like to help cancer survivors get their lives back on track. Helping them do things like get food for them, cook for them. I would also clean their homes. Just do things that they can't do until they get better. My grandma had someone do her things for her to. which makes me want to do the same

15% of America's Adults are NOT Online

A study shows that 15% of the adults in America don't use the internet. Although now of days it may seem everyone is. 92% of the people asked if they are ok with this number said that it was fine. This shows how the internet really isn't all that needed to live a normal everyday life. The one downfall that this has had is people losing their jobs. During the past four years almost 32% of the people who lost jobs don't even have emails or anything that has to do with the internet. So maybe that 15 needs to go down to a 0 in order for our job percentage to get back up.

Former NSA Contractor Makes Surveillance Proof Font

Can our font keep our privacy? Well Former NSA contractor Sang Mun thinks so. After Edward Snowden's leak of NSA classified files Mun was asked to work on something to keep documents online safe and unhackable. He started making a typeface that wouldn't be readable by scanning softwares. Either by the NSA (or any other government agency) or a lone hacker. After he tried he first couple times to scan the typeface it either gave little away or nothing at all. To make the font he used countless hours of drawing softwares and different types of patterns. The four fonts he used as the final product are; Camo, False, Noise, and Xed. He used these because it was unreadable to a computer's vision.

Former NSA contractor Sang Mun's ZXX font is designed to disrupt Optical Character Recognition (OCR) -- the software used by Google and others to scan books or physical documents.

Multimedia Post

Mr. Theodore Colarusso

Mr. Colarusso is my Biology at WRHS. He studied at Kean University, Rider College, and the University of Rhode Island. He also has passion for music. Which he attended the Berkley College of music in Boston. He also earned a masters degree in MAT from Marygrove College.

 His contact information :
Also you can visit his website

This year i expect to learn more about biology and how things in life work. Also, i can not wait to do anatomy, I really like learning about medical and health. I never really went deep into anatomy with other teachers. Mr.Colarusso says he spends a lot of time in anatomy. which really excites me. Mr.Colarusso's grading policy is 40% for tests, 40%projects, 10% participation, and 10% homework. Unlike other classes i am very good with test when it comes to biology which helps me make up for projects that i may not get a good grade on.
An interesting aspect of the class would be doing experiments with different chemical mixtures. I enjoyed doing this last year in chemistry. For example, I got to make a glow stick in a water bottle.
For biology I will use technology for many different things. For example, technology will be used for reports, research, projects, online dissections.
Mr.Colarusso uses technology to teach also. His PowerPoint presentations, videos he shows on the different subjects.

What 9/11 means to me

September 11th should be a day of remembering those who died. Remembering the First Responders who ran in into the towers and lost their lives. A day of remembering loved one who may have died. Remembering those who cleaned up at Ground Zero for months. As sad as it is our country needed this kind of incident to really worry about our safety. Overall, 9/11 should be a day of remembering those who died on that day and those who died from illness from cleaning up Ground Zero.
